Community Services

Due to their unique expertise, ELC staff receives and participates in many requests to speak at meetings, conferences, classes or other gatherings. Examples of recent presentations include: due diligence as a defense to environmental offences, enforcement of water laws, the law governing contaminated lands, using conservation easements to protect watersheds, and community monitoring of environmental pollution.

The ELC also hosts "Brown Bag Seminars", an informal lunchtime gathering at the ELC's office where anyone can hear an expert talk on an important environmental issue free of charge.

The ELC is also able to provide environmental and natural resouces law seminar services on a fee for service basis. Any work that is performed must further the goal of the ELC by contributing to the development of sound laws that will protect the environment.
